Birth: From Nothing to Creation

In June 2008, Changlin established the Project 086 Team with a mission — to design and produce a medium-sized excavator tailored to China’s construction needs.
At the time, independent research was constrained by joint venture limitations. The team faced a daunting “three-nothing” challenge: no technical foundation, no existing data, and no supporting supply chain.

Under the leadership of Project Director Mr. Yin Penglong, the pioneering engineers carried out countless technical surveys and supplier visits. Through perseverance and determination, they overcame obstacle after obstacle — until success was achieved.

The ZG3210-9C was launched as Changlin’s first independently developed excavator, filling a crucial gap in the 21–22.5 ton range. It marked the company’s first decisive step toward self-reliant innovation in excavator technology.

Growth: Seventeen Years of Continuous Improvement

Over the past 17 years, the ZG3225LC-9C has evolved through relentless optimization.

• Power System: The model transitioned from imported to high-efficiency domestic engines. With improved power matching and multiple fuel-saving projects, the machine now delivers stronger performance with reduced fuel consumption.

• Hydraulic System: Evolving from a fully imported configuration to a refined domestic–international hybrid system, the excavator achieves over 20% higher working efficiency compared with early versions. The refined control logic for the main valve and pump ensures smoother compound operations — especially during leveling and truck loading.

• Structure & Durability: Key structural components now use high-strength steel, extending service life beyond 10,000 operating hours.

• Operator Comfort: The cabin has been redesigned with upgraded interiors, an ergonomic armrest box, an 8-inch display panel, and optimized air conditioning ducts — creating a more modern and comfortable working environment.

Reliability: A Market-Proven Classic

While new models continue to emerge, the ZG3225LC-9C remains a best-selling workhorse thanks to its reliability, low maintenance costs, and adaptability across multiple working conditions — from real estate and infrastructure to water conservancy projects.

In recent years, the ZG3225LC-9C has also become a star in overseas markets.

In 2024, the model achieved 130-unit sales in the Middle East, and in 2025, it successfully entered the Belarusian market, quickly earning customer trust as one of the most preferred mid-size excavators.
